This course is intended for you to complete the readings and assignments before you try to take the Post-test and start to work on the culminating project. This material is laying the foundation for what you will need to know to complete your project. Most of you are trying to skip the crucial steps of the readings and assignments and jump to the project, which is part of the reason there is confusion.
Some Clarifications:
 You do not have to complete anything for Steps 5 & 6 in the Workbook.
 You can use your current employer (or similar organization) if you wish as your organization, however, do NOT use actual employee or leadership names of individuals you work with – make up a different name for your project. You can also choose a different organization as long as you have enough knowledge to complete all sections of the plan project.
 To assist with the embedded forms, I have included a blank copy of ALL the forms you need to complete for your project in Doc Sharing – there are 8 forms (see below). I have deleted all references to the pet adoption agency from these forms. Therefore, your plan information will be added into these forms.
FORMS:
 CHANGE MANAGEMENT ACTION PLAN
 CHANGE MANAGEMENT COMMUNICATION PLAN
 ORGANIZATIONAL CHANGE READINESS CHECKLIST ATTACHMENT 1
 CHANGE MANAGMENT RESISTANCE ASSESSMENT SURVEY
 CHANGE MANAGEMENT RESISTANCE MANAGAMENT PLAN
 CHANGE MANAGMENT TRAINING PLAN
 CHANGE MANAGEMENT SCHEDULE OF ACTIVITIES
 CHANGE MANAGEMENT RISK ASSESSMENT MATRIX AND TABLE (IN SAME DOCUMENT)
When you submit your project plan you will up load your completed Change Management Plan and also upload all of these forms into your submission as additional documents.
If you compare the documents in the Workbook and Plan, the Workbook is a guide to help you complete the Plan. Therefore, you will see the same documents in the Workbook in the Appendices and attachments such as the Action Plan, Schedule of Activities, Organizational Change Readiness Checklist, Risk Assessment Matrix, etc., that are also the embedded documents in the Change Management Plan. For the final project you submit for grading, you will complete all of blank forms that are in uploaded in Doc Sharing.
If you want, you can use blank copies of these same forms that are in the Workbook as your working documents as you work on the project and then transfer them to a final copy that will be submitted, but that is just personal preference. You don’t necessarily have to do anything with the blank forms in the Workbook other than use them as a guide to help you be sure you are completing everything for your final project.
STEP 3 in the Plan only lists a section for “3.1 Stakeholder Analysis”. However, in the Workbook for Step 3, it has broken out the all the components of the Stakeholder Analysis and with descriptions of the different stakeholders and levels of participation (driving, advocacy, active participation, willingness, and understanding). You should include in Step 3.1 in your Plan the title/role of the individuals or groups for each of the stakeholder levels (driving, advocacy, active participation, willingness, and understanding). This section also discusses resistance to change, role of management team and the Resistance Assessment Survey, however, the template form for this survey is in Step 4.5 in the plan. You still need to read this information to help you complete sections 3 and 4 and the survey.
